When asked if her day at Valley Ridge could be shared, Dianne graciously agreed.
Dianne’s ability to capture the moments and immerse herself fully in each experience is something that is truly valued. Her vivid recollections and thoughtful observations offer an authentic glimpse into what makes a day at Valley Ridge so special. Her contributions are not only appreciated but also serve as a testament to her passion for both the course and the community.
“Although much of the day was overcast, had a super day in Valley Ridge, my former neighbourhood, golfing at its’ namesake golf course with Adela, Marilyn and Karen of Golfaround. The course was in great shape with lots of hills and dales, elevated tee boxes as well as those you had to hit way up to get to the green. Thanks to Adela, we had our Birdie Juice celebration on a couple of holes.
With all the rain we’ve had the flowers, both landscaped or natural, are in full summer bloom (and I do enjoy taking pictures of them). Spring fruit trees are now showing off their abundance. Had to keep watch for the crows and magpies who are excellent thieves and they actually stole two bags of fruit and nut snacks right off our cart!
Meeting up with the rest of the Golfaround ladies at the 19th hole for food and refreshments and recounting of how our game went is always enjoyable. The patio faces a beautifully landscaped pool and even has a little waterfall to add to the ambiance. They host a lot of weddings or special occasions because the photo op’s are so gorgeous.
It was very nostalgic for me because I walked my Buddy all around the numerous nature trails in Valley Ridge and often went for walks in the winter along the cart paths on the course. Used to see a lot more crocuses and wildflowers back then. I miss my Buddy even after all these years.”
