We were leaving Sparwood after the last game of the Fernie getaway, feeling sad that our fun was over. As we got into our car to start the drive home Kristy said there was a farmers market across the highway behind the Overwaitea store in Sparwood and she thought we should stop and get some peaches, they have been so good this year. Sounds like a plan so off we go. As we approach the store I see people with signs, looks like a car wash to me. Then we stop and I see familiar faces all yelling we are going to Montana, you too Di. I was in a state of shock and became quite tearful, I don’t have my passport or any more clothes, but Kristy had all the bases covered, she even did my ironing without my knowledge. Kristy had rented the six bedroom house we had had before on the Meadow Lake getaway and 11 of us had a great time golfing, eating and celebrating my milestone birthday, as Joan says we should always celebrate that we are on the right side of the grass. I was totally spoiled and not allowed to lift a finger, loved every minute of it, I am so lucky to have amazing people in my life and I will always be grateful.
