A million thanks to everyone for joining us to celebrate 20 fabulous years of Golfaround mardi gras style. We so very much appreciate all the warm wishes and thoughtful gestures; more than that it was so very special to see some faces that we had not seen for a long time and to catch up with your lives. Golfaround would not be what it is today without the support of so many very wonderful people. Memory lane was all set up and we were so happy that we had been able to capture the past 20 years that we have all shared and remembered. We think it really depicted the path we have traveled over the last 20 years. Thanks again to the committee who helped make this happen.
The day was sunny and warm, and we had a great time on the patio of the Birch building at Cottonwood watching people arrive all decked out with wonderful masks and other attire. Walking down Memory Lane was accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. At 6:30pm the doors to the Maple building opened and our guests were treated to an atmosphere of Mardi Gras and the sounds of the Steve Pineo Trio. The decorations were fabulous thanks to Gloria and our hard working committee.
Tiffany Gordon did a great job as the emcee and as usual kept us laughing. Carol and her crew at Cottonwood did an amazing job of the meal and service, the food was delicious. Donna Gray had a treat for us all and sang a very special Golfaround Anniversary, song the lyrics and music written by her. Steve and his band accompanied her and afterwards had us up dancing the night away, the music was outstanding. We ate the food, we drank the wine, we danced the night away and what a great time was had by all. There were numerous door prizes thanks to the generosity and support of many of the golf courses we play at and the event was made so much more special because of the support of our gold silver and bronze sponsors. Thank you so very much.
