As you know we are always keeping our eye out to find new golf courses for you to experience and we have LivingStone Golf Course. This is a family owned and operated public golf course. The property was purchased by Ron and Kathleen Goodwin in 1992 from Bill Copithorne, a local Jumping Pound rancher. Over the years the Goodwin family has built up the property to its current 9 hole course with the final layout to become an 18 hole golf course. The design of the course takes full advantage of the natural topography which includes The Livingstone Ridge and Livingstone Creek. Leave your sand wedge at home as there are no sand traps on this course. You may want to bring your golf ball retriever, however, as seven of the nine holes have streams and ponds in play. You can play either 9 or 18 holes as the tee boxes are designed to offer a different experience for both nines.
The golf course is located off of the Trans Canada Hwy, approximately 20 minutes west of the Calgary City limits. Turn South on Sibbald Creek Trail (Hwy 68) and look for the sign on the East side of the road. Livingstone will be on the Day League Schedule but we can go and try it out, it looks like a great play.
Boulder Creek opened a few years back and we did try it out. Unfortunately we think it opened too early and we did not have a good experience. It has been a few years now and we have heard that it really is a very good play and is now in great shape so we will add it again for the Day League.
Buffalo Run, we have been informed, has been closed because of the proposed ring road construction. We are sad to see this happen as we have really enjoyed playing there for as long as it has been open.
The league schedules will be up-loaded to the members area of the web site shortly.
